Kane County residents offered free gun safe with FOID card
The Kane County Health Department is offering residents with a valid FOID card a free biometric gun safe.
Each safe uses codes, keys, or fingerprint technology to help prevent unauthorized access, promote safe firearm storage and prevent tragedies. The safes, which were acquired through a grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health, are available while supplies last.
Reserve a safe and select a pickup date at redcap.dph.illinois.gov/surveys/?s=47XXEDL8MJWRTAX3.
