More enforcement needed

In my estimation, there are about 20% of the cops on the roads, highways and freeways as there were 10 years ago. Fellow Daily Herald reader, Kenneth Labuda, suggested that the speed limits be lowered. But fewer drivers today, as Mr. Labuda says, give a blank about speed limits.

Tailgating and, on the freeways, swerving around fellow drivers at 90 miles an hour are the methods of choice.

What we need is more cops out there.
