Kane sheriff investigating suspicious chemical delivery

The Kane County sheriff’s office bomb squad on Wednesday investigated chemicals found on the 9N800 block of South Leland Court near Elgin, according to a news release.

A person called around 4:16 p.m. to report the chemicals had been shipped to their residence by a relative.

Deputies discovered additional chemicals on the property. The release said there is no threat to the public.
