Input sought on Fairfield Road project in Lake County

The Lake County Division of Transportation is seeking input on a pending project to resurface Fairfield Road from Rollins Road to Monaville Road.

As it plans for resurfacing, LCDOT also is looking at ways to modernize the road with a focus on improving safety and options for walking and biking.

Improvements may include: a new bike path along Fairfield Road and part of Monaville Road to connect with Grant Woods trail underpass; improving drainage; widening road shoulders; and, improving guardrails.

A virtual forum to share ideas and questions is available through Aug. 15. Provide input at lakecountyil.gov/fairfieldresurfacing. All input submitted through the website goes directly to the project team.
