A Sweet Adventure Awaits at the MainSweet Dessert Walk on Aug. 2 in Libertyville

The MainSweet Dessert Walk is an afternoon of sweets, smiles, and shopping in the heart of Libertyville.

The 11th Annual MainSweet Dessert Walk will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2. Families can explore downtown Libertyville while enjoying mouthwatering dessert samples at every stop. This tasty tradition is held during the Festival of the Arts.

Start by picking up an event map at the MainStreet Libertyville tent in Cook Park beginning at 11:30 a.m. Then, starting at noon, follow the dessert trail through downtown Libertyville to sample a delightful variety of treats from local shops and restaurants.

Purchase tickets in advance at mainstreetlibertyville.org or call (847) 680-0336. Tickets do sell out, so don’t wait. The cost is $20 in advance, and $25 the day of the event (if tickets are available). One ticket equals one dessert sample at each location; and yes, sharing is allowed.

Free parking is available in two covered garages on Lake Street and Church Street. Also, the Metra Milwaukee District North Line stops right in downtown Libertyville, just steps from the fun.

While you’re downtown, enjoy art displays and live music as part of the Festival of the Arts. It’s a full day of community celebration.

The MainSweet Dessert Walk is hosted by MainStreet Libertyville, a nonprofit organization passionate about preserving the economic vitality of downtown Libertyville.
