Deer Park officials to talk electric scooter regulations

The Deer Park village board will meet as a committee of the whole Thursday, July 17, to discuss electric scooter use in town.

The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Deer Park Vehe Barn, 23570 W. Cuba Road.

Officials in Elk Grove Village, Schaumburg, Addison and other towns have enacted regulations for the motorized devices. Complaints about people riding the machines recklessly have surfaced elsewhere, too.
