Chicago Dogs stay in first place with sweep of Lincoln
The Chicago Dogs completed a sweep of the Lincoln Saltdogs 10-5 Sunday behind three home runs and a solid start by rookie Jack Nedrow. The win keeps the Dogs in first place at 33-25.
The Dogs got on the scoreboard right away as Reggie Pruitt Jr. hit a home run leading off the top of the first inning, his third of the year. Chicago added to their lead in the third inning on a Pruitt RBI groundout, making it 3-0 through three innings.
Back to back RBI singles by Henry Kusiak and Jacob Teter in the fifth pushed the Dogs’ lead to 5-0 in the fifth inning.
