Arlington Heights supports local seniors with housing workshop
The village of Arlington Heights Senior Citizens Commission invites older adults and their families to a free Informational Housing Workshop on Wednesday, July 16, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road.
This workshop is part of the Age-Friendly Arlington Heights initiative and will provide tools and resources to help older adults maintain their current homes and successfully age in place within the community they love.
Participants will learn about:
• The village of Arlington Heights Zero Percent Loan Program to assist with home maintenance and safety upgrades,
• Resources from the Northwest Housing Partnership,
• Shared housing programs presented by the Center of Concern.
“All family members are welcome to attend this event to learn about practical options for maintaining independence and staying safely in their homes,” said Senior Citizens Commission chairperson Fred Vogt. “This workshop is designed to empower residents with information that can support their housing needs as they age.”
Registration is encouraged by calling (847) 253-5532.
