Man killed in Sugar Grove motorcycle crash Sunday identified

The motorcyclist who died after a crash Sunday in Sugar Grove has been identified.
The Kane County Coroner’s office reported Anthony Thomas, 26, of Hinckley, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva about two hours after the crash.
Police said the crash took place on the eastbound U.S. Route 30 ramp to southbound Route 47 in Sugar Grove at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Thomas was found by police at the bottom of the ramp, while a 2007 Honda sport motorcycle was found nearby.
An official cause and manner of death are pending further investigation and toxicology results, the coroner’s office said.
