Four injured in Elgin crash Tuesday

Four people were taken to the hospital after a car crash in Elgin on Tuesday, officials said.

The crash happened on North Liberty Street near its intersection with Division Street around 4:30 p.m., according to Elgin Fire Department Captain Christopher Clausen. A minivan and sedan were involved in the crash, and four of the six occupants of the two vehicles were taken to local hospitals.

None of the victims sustained life threatening injuries, but three were transported with advanced life support measures. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
