Palatine electronics recycling event July 19

Palatine, the Palatine Park District and Palatine High School are partnering with the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County on July 19 to host an Electronics Recycling & Document Destruction Event.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Palatine High School, 1111 N. Rohlwing Road. All vehicles must enter campus at the North Rohlwing Road and East Cunningham Road entrance and follow the signs provided.

Residents from Palatine and other SWANCC communities are eligible to participate. IDs will be checked.

There is a limit of seven electronic items for recycling per vehicle. For a complete list of acceptable electronic materials, visit swancc.org and search “Electronics Recycling.”

There is a limit of six file-size boxes or paper bags per vehicle for shredding. Staples can remain, but remove all plastic spines/covers and metal clips/binders.
