Man charged with attempted murder in Aurora stabbing
An Aurora man faces an attempted murder charge in connection with a stabbing Tuesday.
Woodrow Neal, 59, also is charged with armed violence causing great bodily harm, armed violence in a public way, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated battery in a public way and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to Aurora police.
The stabbing occurred outside a business in the 200 block of East Galena Boulevard in Aurora. Police say it was the result of a verbal dispute that turned violent.
The victim, a 46-year-old man, remains hospitalized, according to police.
Neal is expected to appear in Kane County’s first-appearance court Friday.
