To enhance public engagement, the Lombard Village Board has voted to increase the number of resident members serving on its standing advisory committees and plan commission to nine.

The change creates eight new seats across various committees and increases the number of vacancies to 22.

The village is now accepting applications from qualified residents for committees, including Community Promotions & Tourism Committee (5), Community Relations Committee (2), Economic & Community Development Committee (4), Finance & Administration Committee (4), Public Safety and Transportation Committee (1), Public Works & Environmental Concerns Committee (1), Plan Commission (3) and Historic Preservation Commission (2).
