Stop illegal fireworks

To all our political leaders, from Gov. Pritzker on down to our local leaders. All of you politicians are not bashful to raise our taxes and fees. It’s time you put your big boy pants on and do something substantive to stop all these illegal fireworks that these clowns continue to expose the general public to.

No one seems to care about the people with PTSD, young children, animals, etc. The people that set off these bombs have a right to be stupid; well, the general public has a right not to be exposed to this nonsense. They know it’s coming when they light the fuses; your neighbors don’t.

I live in Mundelein and I have not seen any reminders in our local newsletters for people to be respectful of their neighbors. In past years, I’ve seen very few patrols in my neighborhood and it sounds like a war zone. Calling police does nothing.
