Drone surveillance violates privacy

I am writing today to express my concerns with drones being used as surveillance in Westmont. I live at 5905 Fairview Avenue and have a drone fly over my back yard from east to west every night. According to the website, Atlas of Surveillance, Westmont Police Department has five drones in usage according to the 2024 Illinois Freedom from Drone Surveillance Act Report.

I feel that this kind of surveillance by the Westmont Police Department is against my First Amendment rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution. Why does the police department need to be constantly watching what is going on in residential areas? I feel like I should be afforded basic privacy rights by being a property owner and paying property taxes in Westmont, Illinois.

Thank you for letting me express my opinion.
