Police: Chicago man redeemed stranger’s lost voucher at Rivers Casino
A Rivers Casino patron was arrested over the weekend after he redeemed a voucher worth about $1,000 even though it didn’t belong to him, Des Plaines police said in a news release.
Henry Survillion, 75, of the 4600 block of West Gladys Avenue in Chicago, is charged with misdemeanor theft of lost or mislaid property.
Survillion cashed in a voucher he found in a redemption machine June 20, police said. It belonged to a Chicago woman who had attempted to cash in two vouchers but only collected money for one.
Survillion was arrested Saturday, June 28, after casino security spotted him inside the venue, police said. He was taken to the police station, charged and released.
