New trustee to join Lake Barrington village board
The Lake Barrington Village Board will meet on Tuesday, July 1, to appoint a new member to its ranks and handle other business.
Resident Brenda Brainerd is set to join the board. She’ll succeed Andy Burke, who gave up his trustee post after he was elected mayor in April.
If the board approves Brainerd’s appointment, she’ll take office in August. She’d serve until 2027 and then could run for election.
Tuesday’s meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at village hall, 23860 N. Old Barrington Road. It is open to the public and also will be livestreamed at tiny.cc/ld4o001.
