Des Plaines woman found neighbor in her apartment: police

A Des Plaines man was ticketed Monday after a female neighbor came home and found him standing in her apartment, authorities said.

Antonio Evaristo-Romero, 44, of the 1200 block of Harding Avenue, was cited with trespassing.

The woman had returned home from work about 11:45 a.m. when she discovered Evaristo-Romero standing in her living room, police said in a news release.

Evaristo-Romero reportedly told police he entered the apartment because the door was open and he was concerned. He was released after being ticketed.
