Dogs edge Sioux Falls
The Chicago Dogs faced the Sioux Falls Canaries on Tuesday morning at Impact Field, with Keoni Cavaco getting the start and going five innings for the Dogs in a 6-4 victory.
The Dogs got on the board in the second with a solo shot from Dusty Stroup, his fourth of the year. In the fourth, Kyle Shmack drove in Chance Sisco to make it a 2-1 lead. Sioux Falls tied it in the fifth and then took a 4-2 lead in the seventh.
The Dogs scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh without recording a hit, capitalizing on passed balls and defensive mistakes. Jacob DeLabio slammed the door shut to seal the win for the Dogs, earning his seventh save of the season.
