Geneva garbage prices increasing July 1

The price of Geneva’s garbage collection will soon increase.

Refuse stickers will be adjusted on July 1 as part of the city’s contract with LRS. A refuse sticker will rise to $4.32. Residents who purchased stickers at the current rate of $4.13 can use their remaining supply without paying the difference. Garbage cart subscriptions will also increase by about $1 per billing cycle.

Twenty-gallon bags will cost $2.73, and 65-gallon yard waste carts will cost $174.72 annually.
