Lombard names winners of ‘Through My Lens’ photo contest

The village of Lombard has announced the winners of the 2025 “Through My Lens: Lombard” photo contest. The contest, which was open from May 2-31, invited residents and visitors to submit candid photographs that reflect everyday life in Lombard, with a focus on the people and experiences that make the community special.

More than 60 entries were submitted. After careful review, the community relations committee selected the following winners:

• First place: Ashley Veldman — “Dinner for Three at Babcock’s”

• Second place: Radhika Shah — “Love in the Park”

• Third place: Lisa Rivers — “Red Tulips and Little Girl”

“Thank you to everyone who submitted photos for this year’s contest,” said Trustee Jessie Hammersmith, chair of the community Relations Committee. “These photos truly captured how everyday moments and connections between people help make our community such a great place to live and visit.”

The winning photos will be displayed at Village Hall, featured in the next edition of the E-Pride newsletter and posted on the Village website.

Contest winners will also receive certificates of recognition and Visa gift cards in the amounts of $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place.
