Glen Ellyn’s Summer Break at the Lake returns with music, food and family fun

The Glen Ellyn Park District invites the community to kick off the season at Summer Break at the Lake, a two-night celebration of music, food, and lakeside vibes at beautiful Lake Ellyn Park.

This year, the event expands with a new all-ages night, giving families the chance to join the fun. Whether you're coming with kids, friends, or flying solo, both evenings promise unforgettable memories.

Thursday, June 26 marks the debut of the All-Ages Show, headlined by high-energy cover band Good Clean Fun. Gates open at 5 p.m., the concert runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and the evening concludes at 9 p.m. Registration is required for everyone ages 3 or older.

Friday, June 27 brings back the signature 21-or-older lakeside experience that Glen Ellyn locals have come to love. This adults-only night features two acts: Rock the Ivory featuring David Wilner, followed by American English, the acclaimed Beatles tribute band. Gates open at 5 p.m., with music from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event wraps at 10 p.m.

Both nights will feature craft beverages from local favorites including The Beer Cellar, Two Hound Red, Ko-ze Wine Room, and Common Good Cocktail House.

A variety of food trucks will be on-site with delicious bites available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and relax on the grass, at picnic tables, or on the Boathouse patios.

Advance registration is $10 per person, per night through June 25 at gepark.org/register. Tickets will be $15 at the door, if available. Valid ID is required for all attendees on Friday night.
