President is in conflict with Constitution

This is a response to Steve Koivula’s 6/2 letter to the Daily Herald. He is sad that Trump is being treated like a criminal. Well, he is a criminal.

He has 34 felony convictions on his record, a number of indictments and several jury awards against him and his company for fraudulent acts and sexual abuse.

He wasn’t looking out for us when he mismanaged COVID and lied about the true impact so it wouldn’t hurt his reelection. He wasn’t looking out for the country when he rallied support for overturning the 2020 election based on a lie, so he could remain in power. How was he helping the border problem when he told Congress to veto the bipartisan bill in early 2024? He wasn’t. He wanted to help himself politically by running on it.

And when you throw Biden under the bus, make room for Trump. Both were horrible when it came to increasing the debt; each by approx. $8 trillion. Is Trump really trying to save money? No, he is adding $3.4 trillion to $4 trillion more to the debt in the first year of his second term.

Now he’s busy grifting off the presidency by building golf courses/resorts, securing a luxury jet for his retirement and promoting his cryptocurrency. None of this is helping our country.

Presidents take an oath to defend the Constitution. Trump is continually proposing actions that are in conflict with it, e.g. confronting law firms, media outlets and universities. You may think shortcuts on immigrants are OK, but it becomes a slippery slope. Imagine the government coming after you and finding out that the Constitution is no longer relevant in defending yourself.
