Assessments rise 18.5% for single-family homes in Maine Township

The property tax assessment for a median single-family home in Maine Township is up about 18.5% from three years ago, according to the Cook County Assessor’s Office.

The median market value estimate for homes in the township is $403,000, up from $340,000 in 2022, the last time Maine Township was assessed.

The increase coincides with a roughly 17% hike in the median sale price for single-family homes in 2024, according to the assessor’s office.

For condominiums, the 2025 median assessment is $211,000, up 28.7% from $164,000 in 2022, records show. The median sale price for condos has increased about 31% since 2022, according to the assessor.
