Two words to remember on politics
On May 26, a Tony Atkins of Wheaton wrote a letter saying the FBI asserted that Joe Biden could not go to trial because of mental incompetence. This is totally false. Mr. Hur, a special council for this report, said that Biden had a “limited memory.” It did not say at all that he was incompetent to stand trial.
Frank Bowman, who is a professor emeritus of law at the University of Missouri concluded that President Biden did have a memory issue about some things, but was definitely not, not incompetent to stand trial. This conclusion was also reached by a Barbara McQuade who is a professor at Michigan law.
I suggest Mr. Atkins stop paying attention to wild and false reports that apparently feed into his own biases. There are two words here that need to be stressed over and over again, especially in today’s political climate. Those words are “fact check.”
By the way, there are times here when I read articles that say the Daily Herald is biased toward Democrats. Clearly, they printed an article that is in the opposite direction. So much for that idea.
