On rights and support

NPR and PBS are saying the government threatening to stop financially supporting them is a violation of their First Amendment rights. No one is telling them what to say. They are free to continue speaking their opinions. But others don’t have to support them if they disagree. If I don’t like a product being sold, I don’t have to patronize the seller. If that means the seller goes out of business — too bad. You have a right to your opinion but can’t require others to support it.
