Buffalo Grove police arrest man in armed robbery
A Palatine man has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies following a December armed robbery in Buffalo Grove.
Buffalo Grove police said that on Dec. 21, 2024, Marco Vazquez, 28, entered an Extended Stay America at 1525 Busch Parkway. According to witnesses, Vazquez approached the front desk, jumped over the counter and demanded money while displaying a handgun.
Vazquez was arrested on Wednesday and is charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated robbery. He had his first appearance in court on Thursday at the Lake County Courthouse.
