Libertyville surveying residents about accessibility

Libertyville is working with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning to develop an Americans with Disabilities Act Public Right-of-WayTransition Plan.

The document will outline a strategy to identify and address accessibility barriers within the community’s public spaces, such as sidewalks, crosswalks and curb cuts. As part of this evaluation Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. and QualityCounts will be conducting field evaluations of local pedestrian facilities in the public rights-of-way.

Residents can assist by completing a survey at engage.cmap.illinois.gov/libertyville-plan-for-accessible-streets-and-sidewalks to share accessibility challenges they’ve encountered getting around town, as well as general feedback on accessibility of village services and programs.
