Sun, sand and smiles at Mundelein Park & Recreation District’s free Beach Bash June 14

The Mundelein Park & Recreation District is invites the community to its seventh annual Beach Bash, a free all-ages event held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, at Diamond Lake Beach.

Beach Bash is packed with family-friendly activities, from high-energy Beach Zumba to a wild and bubbly foam party.

Event Highlights Include:

• 11 a.m.: Beach Zumba to get the party started

• 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Face painting, beach arts and crafts, and an inflatable water slide

• 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Free kayak and paddleboard rentals

• Noon to 1 p.m.: Classic beach games for all ages

• 1-2 p.m.: Foam Party Finale

“This is our favorite way to kick off summer,” said Amy Langille, Cultural Arts and Events supervisor. “Beach Bash brings the community together in a beautiful setting with fun, sun and lots of smiles — all at no cost to our guests.”

Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs, towels and plenty of sunscreen to stay comfortable throughout the day. Feel free to bring along a picnic to enjoy by the water.

Diamond Lake Beach is at 1016 Diamond Lake Road, Mundelein.
