Love on the Lawn, Illinois’ largest family reunion, combines music, community and purpose
The highly anticipated Love on the Lawn Festival (LOTL Fest) returns to Elgin on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 2 to 10 p.m., offering a powerful celebration of music, community, and culture — right in the heart of the city.
With tickets starting at just $25 and free admission for children, age 12 or under, the event remains a family-friendly and affordable experience for all.
This year’s festival lineup is stacked with star power and hometown pride, featuring legendary headliner Kid Capri, DJ Sundance, Elgin’s own DJ Rod Boogie, house music icon DJ Sluggo, and DJ CZR.
Guests can also enjoy a vibrant mix of local vendors, a free Kidz Zone for families, and an elevated VIP experience with food and drinks, a private bar, and shaded lounge seating.

Backed by a team of hometown heroes, Love on the Lawn has quickly evolved into Illinois’ largest family reunion, blending entertainment with purpose and philanthropy.
At the heart of the movement is Mike Page, Elgin native and founder of Impossible Dreamz Music Group and Love on the Lawn.
“Love on The Lawn means family and friends, we finally have something that we can call our own,” Page said. “My hometown — we deserve this. We’ve been through a lot, but God loves us.”
Page, who left Elgin to pursue success, has now returned home, bringing career opportunities, leadership, and inspiration.
“LOTL Fest isn’t just entertainment — it’s empowerment,” added Marisha Sommerville, project manager of marketing & sponsorship. “Mike has created career opportunities for childhood friends and surrounded himself with a team of winners — together, we are building a powerhouse of influence.”
From entertainment to economic impact, the team behind LOTL Fest is diverse, driven, and deeply rooted in Elgin.
Tyrell Thornton, co-founder of IDMG and LOTL, shared, “Love on the Lawn Festival is a labor of passion and dedication. It means everything to me to help create a memorable experience that people look forward to year after year.”
Kathy Rivas, IDMG administrator, added: “LOTL Fest embodies a profound celebration of life. And together we continue to craft unforgettable moments for others to cherish.”
Lamont Grace, project manager of logistics, emphasized the festival’s heart: “Working on Love on the Lawn means to me community, togetherness, giving back, and empowerment.”
Tissanie Simmons, Project Manager noted: “Being a part of LOTL as an Elgin native has been empowering and inspiring — with the beautiful responsibility of connecting family, music, and love.”
In the past three years, Love on the Lawn has hosted thousands of attendees with zero incidents reported, cementing its reputation as a safe and welcoming environment for all.
But LOTL Fest is more than just a music event. It’s a movement.
The organization has proudly sponsored Elgin’s Northwest Tide and Elgin Steelers youth football teams, as well as the Elgin Fire Soccer team. Through its community impact arm, the Mike Page Foundation, the team has fed over 200 families in need and provided relief to those affected by the Tent City fires — further showcasing their ongoing commitment to serve and uplift the people of Elgin.
