Community Pride Celebration in Des Plaines on Saturday

Coinciding with Pride Month, a Community Pride Celebration is scheduled for Saturday at Christ Church United Church of Christ, 1492 Henry Ave., Des Plaines.

The free event will run from 1 to 5 p.m. It’s open to anyone.

Games, activities for kids and a family-friendly drag performance are planned. Food will be available.

The event is hosted by the SPEAK Des Plaines community group, the church and the Des Plaines Clergy Alliance.
