Person injured during armed robbery near Aurora

A person was shot during an armed robbery Monday evening near Aurora, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The robbery happened around 6:36 p.m. in the 800 block of Konen Avenue in Aurora Township, according to a press release. The release said a red Mitsubishi Outlander pulled up, and three people approached the vehicle and demanded the driver, a 31-year-old man, give them money and a cellphone.
One person fired a gun, injuring a person’s right leg. The gunshot victim was treated and released by Rush-Copley Medical Center.
Some of the people involved fled. Others who remained at the scene were detained for questioning. One was released with no charges. Another is being detained pending further investigation, authorities said.
