Huntley Rotary Club awards scholarships to four Huntley High seniors

Community service through school and in the community weighed heavily as the Rotary Club of Huntley selected four talented seniors from Huntley High School to receive scholarships.

Students, their parents, and a few grandparents joined Rotary Board members on May 6 at Morkes Chocolate in Huntley to celebrate the annual scholarship winners.

The Thom Palmer scholarship, provided by Ken Black, was awarded to Brooke Rogers while Christine Such, youth services coordinator, presented awards and checks to Sara Willis, Kate Burkey, Brooke Rogers and Mackenzie Billard for an extra assist in advancing their education.

Huntley High School Principal Marcus Belin and College and Career Counselor Laura Martens shared best wishes and stories about each student.
