Des Plaines library’s summer reading program starts June 7

The Des Plaines Public Library’s summer reading program launches Saturday, June 7.

Open to patrons of all ages, this summer’s program has an animal theme and is called “Tails and Tales.”

Kids can get special reading logs on their way to the goal of 14 hours or 42 books over the summer. Prizes are available.

Teens can win gift cards for reading, attending programs or writing book reviews.

Adults can win gift cards and other prizes by reading and answering weekly trivia questions.
