Tom and Tim Belgio receive Marmion Academy's Distinguished Service Award

Marmion Academy recently announced that Tom and Tim Belgio, of the family-run Belgio’s Catering in Naperville, received the Father Alcuin Deck Distinguished Service Award on Wednesday, May 28.

This award is presented to individuals in recognition of outstanding contribution and faithful service to Marmion Academy and in gratitude for exemplifying a spirit of charity and dedication to Marmion.

In 2005, Marmion Academy was in need of a caterer to serve the needs of the Academy student body and the many demands made by Marmion’s calendar of events.

Jeff Walan (former director of finance) was the man responsible for recommending and signing Belgio’s Catering as the preferred choice.

“For 20 years, Belgio’s has provided Marmion Inc. with a reliable, efficient, and accommodating food service. They have consistently and cheerfully carried out their service, assisting the administrations of the Abbey, Academy, and Abbey Farms and supporting the Marmion mission. They have become welcome members of the Marmion family and an iconic presence at Marmion functions,” said Rt. Rev. Joel Rippinger, Abbot of Marmion Abbey. “Marmion is most grateful for their stable and faithful assistance all these years.”
