The Aurora Regional Fire Museum will host the traveling exhibit “America United: The Days After 9/11” beginning Tuesday, June 3.
The exhibit, created by the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn, explores the national response to the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, and includes interactive tables, timelines of the day and what followed, as well as two steel beams recovered from the World Trade Center.
A ceremony to welcome the exhibit is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, at the museum, 53 N Broadway. The all-ages exhibit will be on display through Sept. 13.
