Dogs’ bats come alive in win over Milwaukee
The Dogs offense showed their true potential by beating the Milwaukee Milkmen 12-3 on Tuesday in their first double-digit scoring game of the season.
Eleven of the 12 runs came in the fifth and sixth innings, where the Dogs put up 5 and 6 respectively. Dusty Stroup hit his first homer of the year. A few two out rallies, clutch hits, and good base running led to more runs for Chicago.
Stroup drove in four runs. All nine starters reached base at least once. Dogs pitcher Connor Curlis struck out six while only allowing one run. Austin Marozas threw a scoreless seventh, Brandon Scott threw a scoreless eighth and Nate Gillman settled down after allowing a couple of runs in the ninth.
