Our Saviour’s in Naperville to host MEGA Garage Sale June 6-7

Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Naperville will host its annual MEGA Garage Sale on June 6-7 at the church’s Celebration Campus, 919 S. Washington Ave.

The sale — proceeds from which benefit a wide range of local and globally serving mission partners, such as Naperville’s Loaves & Fishes Community Services and Bridge Communities of Glen Ellyn — will run Friday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to noon. Saturday is half-price day, with all items half-price.

Last year, the sale welcomed thousands of customers over two days, with many lined up outside the church before Friday’s 8 a.m. kickoff.

Toys, clothes, kitchenware, home decor, books, musical accessories, outdoor items and more will be available at this year’s sale; shoppers can pay by cash, credit card or mobile payment.

Items that are not sold are donated to organizations such as Aurora’s Wayside Cross Ministries.

“This sale impacts lives,” said MEGA Garage Sale co-chair Debbie Friend. “It is such a joy to see this in action.”

Friend shares the story of one customer in 2024 who shared that she was a refugee from Ukraine and was grateful to be able to find many home essentials to help re-establish her life in the United States.

“Our volunteers and customers look forward to the MEGA Garage Sale every year,” Friend said. “We show people through our actions that kindness matters. All who come to the sale are welcomed with open arms.”

Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Naperville is a member of the Chicago-based Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
