No injuries reported in Palatine kitchen fire

No injuries were reported after fire broke out in the kitchen of a Palatine home Monday morning.

Palatine firefighters responded to the blaze on the 600 block of South Cedar Street at 11:04 a.m. following reports of a stove fire.

All residents were safely located outside the house, and the fire was brought under control by 12:04 p.m.

Fire investigators later determined the cause was accidental, citing “improper storage of combustible materials near the stove.”
