Suffering is what matters

In opposition to the Trump administration’s cruelty being perpetrated on undocumented immigrants, some U.S. citizens, migrants seeking refuge and all who are suffering from the defunding of USAID, I am sharing a quote attributed to Louis Pasteur:

“One does not ask of one who suffers: What is your country and what is your religion? One merely says: You suffer; this is enough for me.”

Imagine what a respected country we could be if we had a compassionate administration with a president that has the ability to see the humanity in everyone.
