Bears to open regular season on Monday Night Football
The Bears will play two games on Monday Night Football, including the season opener Sept. 8 against the Vikings at Soldier Field, the NFL announced Wednesday.
The Bears’ other Monday night game is Week 6 at Washington, where their 2024 season fell apart following a last-second Hail Mary touchdown by the Commanders that won the game.
The Bears’ bye week is Week 5.
They play a Friday afternoon game the day after Thanksgiving at the Super Bowl champion Eagles.
The games against the Packers are late this season, Week 14 on the road and Week 16 at home on a Saturday.
New coach Ben Johnson faces his old team in Week 2 when the Bears play at Detroit and in Week 17 when the Lions end the season in Chicago. That game will be either Jan. 3 or Jan. 4.
The only Sunday night game on the schedule is Week 16 at San Francisco.
The Bears’ preseason games are home against the Dolphins and Bills and at Kansas City.
