Arlington Heights swings into spring with community bike ride, festival

A large host of of pedal-driven, human-powered vehicles kicked off from North School Park for the Arlington Heights Community Bike Ride and Swing into Spring event Saturday.

About 200 participants, including 16 members of the Arlington Heights Bicycle Club and village of Arlington Heights commissioners, joined either the longer eight-mile ride or the four-mile version.

After the ride, people celebrated spring with crafts, games, rides, food trucks, live music and entertainment in North School Park.
