Lake Barrington administrator gets contract extension

Lake Barrington Village Administrator Sharon L. Peterson’s contract has been extended through January 2026.

The village board approved the extension Tuesday night. The contract, inked when she was hired in May 2023, was to expire on May 31.

Peterson’s $153,000 base annual salary won’t change with the contract extension, she said.

Employee evaluations are conducted each November, and applicable pay raises take effect each January. The extension better aligns Peterson’s employment with that annual review process, she said.
