Roosevelt Road bridge project to cause lane shifts in Glen Ellyn
Repairs to the bridge carrying Roosevelt Road over Route 53 in Glen Ellyn are due to begin Monday, May 12, weather permitting.
As a result of the work, Roosevelt Road will be reduced to one eastbound and two westbound lanes over the bridge, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Drivers also should expect various lane shifts on both sides of Roosevelt approaching the bridge and occasional lane closures on Route 53 at Roosevelt throughout the project, IDOT said in a news release.
The $2 million project should be completed in late July.
