Wadsworth Road to close at Canadian Pacific Railroad crossing May 8

Wadsworth Road between Route 41 and Kilbourne Road east of the Des Plaines River in northeastern Lake County will be closed Thursday, May 8 for rail crossing repairs.

The closure will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the road is expected to reopen to traffic by the end of the day.

The detour is Route 41 (Skokie Highway) to Route 173 (Rosecrans Road) to Kilbourne Road. Local traffic will be allowed from Route 41 and Kilbourne Road to the rail crossing, which will be closed to all traffic.
