Why don’t Republicans stand up for democracy?
Regarding the letter, “Why don’t Democrats decry wrongdoing” by Bob Shea.
American’s watched live broadcast on many platforms, as President Trump made a speech at the Ellipse, encouraging what became the vandalism of America’s Capital building, including theft and/or destruction of federal property including windows, furniture, computers, and worst than an animal, smearing their excrement on the walls. This has been well documented by federal agencies as well as many live broadcasts via multiple platforms.
With President Trump’s pardons, convicted rioters can not only walk free, but they also are no longer required to pay their court-ordered restitution, and taxpayers have to pay the tab. Some Capitol Police were killed, or permanently injured, and about 170 were attacked. The Christian Science Monitor, reported the cost of the “peaceful demonstration” as $928.500 million. Later in other granular reports, the costs were higher. I used the lower Monitor report. Of course, this does not add to the debt, just as the Reagan/HW’s bailout of S&L economic disaster, and GW’s bailout of the 2008 economic disaster, each amounting to billions that was “moved to the top” also does not add to the debt. It is magic money. Only feeding starving children or helping vets add to the debt.
The difference is that none of the Democrats mentioned in the letter were involved with the Tesla damage, unlike the Jan 6 assault, in which many notable Republicans were directly involved. Reading the police reports to date, the only person who was injured in Tesla protests was a guy who set his shirt on fire in the process of damaging a Tesla. Please do not recite the “X” gossip lines.
Freedom without responsibility is tyranny.
