Learn the benefits of pollinators and how to attract them to your yard

Pollinators in the forest preserves is the topic of Wild Ones Lake-to-Prairie Chapter meeting at 7 p.m. May 6 at the Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road or online.

Dan Sandacz, a restoration ecologist with the Lake County Forest Preserve District, will discuss the first few years of the plant-pollinator monitoring program and how information is used in future restoration and conservation strategies.

Native plant recommendations to support pollinator habitat also will be discussed. Registration is required at fremontlibrary.org/event/12776405.
