Des Plaines library holding Free Comic Book Day events Saturday

Head to the Des Plaines Public Library on Saturday to celebrate Free Comic Book Day.

An annual international event, Free Comic Book Day brings comic book stores, libraries and fans together. Activities at the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood St., are set to run from 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Free comics and other items will be available on the first floor.

Show off your costume on a cosplay runway starting at 1:15 p.m. At 2 p.m., authors Dan Santat and Minh Lê will discuss their work over Zoom in the youth services program room. Also, Mary Schyne will read from her upcoming graphic novel “You and Me on Repeat” in Meeting Room A.
