Huntley church to host new member gathering May 4
Learn more about the life and ministry of Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley. A new member gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at the church, 10805 Main St.
Prospective members, guests and visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the life and ministry of Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church. The church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America community of faith that shares a passion for making positive changes in the world.
“If you have attended worship with us or joined us online and would like to know more about our community,” said Donna Kelly, director of connections ministry, “we welcome you to attend our new member gathering to consider becoming a formal member of our SOTP family.”
The church provides dynamic worship led by Senior Pastor Mark Boster and Pastor Ryan Mackey. It is filled with meaningful small groups and a strong commitment of service to others.
Worship includes: Saturday service using familiar hymns at 5 p.m.; and Sunday traditional service at 9 a.m. using familiar hymns and 10:45 a.m. service using contemporary music, language and multimedia. The three services include Holy Communion and the Sunday services are livestreamed.
