ECC to hold free Thriving After 55 resource fair April 25

Elgin Community College will hold a Thriving After 55 resource fair on Friday, April 25.

The free event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Building J on the campus at 1700 Spartan Dr. It is tailored for ages 55 and older and features exhibitor booths and raffles from local businesses, organizations, and services focused on enhancing the quality of life for older adults.

There will also be free health screenings with blood pressure checks, stroke risk assessments and blood sugar screenings. Walmart will provide on-site vaccinations, including shingles, pneumonia, tetanus, COVID-19, RSV and hepatitis A & B.
